I had wanted to visit Southwark Cathedral since I read "Green Darkness" ages ago, and finally had the opportunity summer 2019 when I brought my daughter Emily to London for her graduation gift. I had never heard of Doorkins before, but as a life-long cat lover I was delighted with her story. I was doubly delighted when we actually found her napping in her favourite chair, and she deigned to allow us to pay her homage. (I know I wasn't supposed to, but I took a single photograph of Doorkins for posterity, and now I treasure it even more.) Such a heart-warming tale of love and friendship - such a sweet, special creature who is dearly loved and missed. I am so thankful we met her. 🐈💕😢
